PRE-PRODUCTION: 28th January Initial Ideas Development

After reviewing our initial ideas we wanted to create something more original and unique. We have selected the super power and notes idea. We like the idea of using different locations.


These are some ideas we noted down as we had our discussion.

• So possibly finds a notes in the woods that gives them powers.

• Maybe he touches a note and goes to that place.
• Want to use Greenscreen so maybe they go somewhere unordinary, or possibly this could be used as the transition  place. Use effects and make it look unrealistic and mutated.
• At end wakes up in a field or wakes up back in his room as if it was all a dream,  but you see a note on the floor.

•  Using a never ending cycle quite saddening, quick shots of the day repeating, then one day finds a note and it changes
• Donnie Darko camera movement and music
• Change colouring
• half full half empty
• Mental Health statistics
• Bad Day everyday
• A character finds notes throughout their daily routine which leads them to a very exciting and incredible surprise.

After our discussion we have decided to follow through with our idea of creating a short film about mental illness and struggles of young people. We like the idea of displaying statistics on the screen about mental health and possibly a cyclical narrative.
