PRE-PRODUCTION: 22nd January: Initial Ideas Discussion

After being given the title 'The Greatest Day' we all brainstormed some ideas of what came to our minds when we first heard this title. We then refined our thoughts and came up with same brief ideas for a short film, these were some of my ideas:

• A character finds notes throughout their daily routine which leads them to a very exciting and incredible surprise.
• A character has a super power for the day, such as making things appear and disappear, such as if they are hungry they could make food appear, and then at the end they could use their power for something good, like saving a life.
• Someone is having a really bad day, such as smashing their being, splashed by a car, falling over shoe lace etc and then something incredible happens to contrast and make it the greatest day.

We discussed other ideas such as:

• Having a night out and losing your key for your uni room, and finally finding it and it be an amazing feeling of relief.
• using the song 'The Day I Died' by Just Jack, with the main lyrics ' the day i died was the best day of my life' and basing our film around these words.
